As I told you all along the article, I recommend you to use a VPN optimized for torrent downloading (Cyberghost is the one I use) as well as a torrent software without ads like Transmission or qBittorrent. Same issue here, torrents with well over a hundred seeders and a dozen or so leechers and transmission will take about a 5 minutes to start doing anything, only to add about a peer per minute up to a max of 5 or 6 before calling it a day and happily slowboat along at 10kb/sec. The only way to kill this was to restart the PC. Thanks to them, you won't waste your time looking for the torrent you want in French. Trying to kill the dcs_updater.exe process tree (the one which hogs the most memory) does not shut down I cannot kill the process trying every tool I know off. The initial downlaod is quite fast and for one or other reason it slows to a trickle and eventually stops - was over a weekend.

I did the update the normal way by click to play, forced update using the dcs_updater.exe update cmd and even tried a repair even (see paragraph below). Running win 7 sp1 and quite a heafty PC with enough CPU and memory(need more for X-Plane).
